Newsday Tuesday (Internet Outage Edition)

Along with the internet outage, my town has no “boiling water” due to City restrictions.  Yes, this is real.  If I had a hash tag, it would be a belligerent one.

    1) Do you read Dan Brown books? I’m just not a fan.
    2) What about Jhumpa Lahiri? I absolutely adore her writing!
    3) I’m surprised at the top three books on the high school reading lists. I love all of those books but I’m still surprised that they don’t have any modern titles on the list!

No Dan Brown. My father adores him. In fact, I just downloaded his newest onto my dad’s new tablet. My father is 78 so this tablet is a big deal, haha.

And oh dear, modern titles in high school, that makes me laugh. County administration wouldn’t dare unless it’s a charter or private school. Public schools are stuck in the Stone Age book wise. I know… I fought for a few only to lose to curmudgeons. Back to TKAM.

I really liked the Jhumpa article. Haven’t read anything by her though.
