I'm a be, I'm a be I'm a I'm a I'm a be.

This blog is brought to you by the letter I.

So, I’ve hit rock bottom and was for the first time in my life, told I just wasn’t good enough for something.  Yes, I collapsed in a bathroom stall at work and cried on the floor and sent a few choice words up to God for making me go through this for another year… but then, I picked myself up, sort-of dried my eyes (they’re still a little soggy right now and on the verge, if you will) and “I’m a be” is my new theme song.

Why you ask would I choose this song, because I’m going to be (within the next year) THE BEST at something. I WILL be taking spots.  I will be producing some ridiculous poetry and fiction in the next six months and I will have nothing better to do then sit on my ass and write for hours.  So, this is me, being competitive.  The bonfire has been started and I will not quit until I’m good enough for everything, EVERYTHING, MWAHAHAHA.

And I’m going to get a bike.

So, let’s get this started.

I’ma be right there with you lighting that fire. I need one lit under me, too. Great post, sorry you were told you weren’t good enough at something that mattered to you. Found you through the A to Z Challenge.

Good for you! Glad I could get someone else to join in the burning fest. If only we lived in the 70’s and could burn our bras too! And it’s okay, when one door closes, a window should open somewhere..or a smaller door.

You can do it, Cass’! Sorry to hear you have to try again, but I’m confident in your success! Not the end of the world, and all that matters is your writting’s good, it’ll all work out for the best somehow. I’d be happy to scribble up anything you send my way, I always enjoy reading it (which is more than I can say for some of our classmates over the years) ; ) Head up, go somewhere pretty and take pictures, then write up some all-new drafts! Got confidence in you, girl : )

Cari! Thanks for all the support – it definitely means a lot. I’m totally taking you up on that offer and going to send you every piece of scrap metal I try and re-work until it’s time to re-apply. Are you in at State, or elsewhere that you wanted to go? Did you wind up applying at the low-res program in Asheville? First drafts will be coming your way soon, and maybe you can read them to Andrew on your road-trip and get a male opinion as well haha! When you’re back (I’m following your journey all over tumblr) we SERIOUSLY need to get tea…we’ve been saying it forever, let’s do it!

You are valuable to God, Love your song, when we are down and out sing praises. I am reading NickVujicic and will blog about it: he has no limbs. Keeps me motivated.
