“You remember some bedrooms you have slept in. There are bedrooms you like to remember and others you would like to forget.” – Carl Sandburg

In an effort to show ya’ll my entire, REAL, life…I have re-done my bedroom and decided to post pictures.  I’m a cluttery human being, I also enjoy really chotsky things (I spelled that wrong in every graduate school application for fiction that I submitted, damn).  I still don’t know how to spell it, so I’m going to leave it.

I tried to add some dancing space into my room, since ya know, my karaoke machine and I like to get down.  Back in the day, Cat Williams and I used to learn the moves from Christina A’s (can’t spell it)  “Dirty” video and then perform them at teen night at City Limits.  Man, good times.  I like to think my personality hasn’t changed much since then, actually has it changed at all?  I’m still crazy and I still love to dip it low and have to awkwardly pull up my low-rise jeans afterwards, maybe even jump back into them.

I’m getting off subject.  I’ve redecorated my room since I’ll be living at home until *fingers crossed* graduate schools start calling.  So, my mother woke up this morning with the idea to help me out and we, together, moved all my stuff around and she cleaned and I organized (I’m not organized so this is a big effort for me.  My book shelf still looks absolutely ridiculous, but I like it that way).

Here are the photos of the excitement! I may even post the pictures of all the hidden-behind-clothes posters of the Backstreet Boys.  My not-so-secret crush on Nick Carter has now been moved to Justin Bieber, but there’s still a special place in my heart for both Carter boys.

The desk(ish) area with photos of the family, and my caps from assorted graduations and my FAVORITE POSTER EVER from the Library of Congress that says "Libraries-for those who love books."

My new thrift store lamp. Love this thing, thank you whoever didn't want this for Christmas and gave it up.

A bird, bird, bird, bird is the word! My new bird cage that holds jewelry and other lovely little things (like artsy fartsy photos of foreign places I loved).

I had a cork board up there where I may have painted (with turquoise nail polish) over people's faces that I was no longer friends with. Yes, that's passive-agressive for ya. So the new one, new and improved is has a few of my cards from friends while I was in Australia, and movie, baseball, rugby stubs. Oh, and bookmarks, because I collect those!

My favorite part of the entire room; the book shelf.

One entire side of my room, aka the fun side with the bookshelf, bras, and jewelry!

So there you have it, the room of a bachelorette. Bah!

The pictures don’t do the room justice. It looks so good, and so uniquely Cassie. She did a great job with the bird house, you should see it in person, and she strung a string across one shelf of the bookcase and hung earrings. She changed some of the pictures, left a few just for me, and the whole room came together in the nicest way. Good job Cassie!
