• How many people do you know who read the first sentence of a back cover blurb (a five second skim) and put the book back on the shelf?  I might be one of these people, occasionally.  I think I’ve gotten better about this and I actually read the whole blurb, and then I look at the author’s photo to make sure they aren’t schmucky.  Huffington & Book Riot have created a list of good authors with bad blurbs.
